HOME / SOLUTIONS

Overview

ITS encompasses a synergy between the roadway and the vehicle. MSC provides roadway systems which assist agencies to enforce vehicle regulations, and collect roadway usage fees. MSC solutions enable customers to generate savings, improve driver habits, and to secure the safety and security of their assets.

MSC- disciplinary team of electrical, control, information and communications engineers has a wealth of knowledge and experience in the identification of user needs and the selection and application of Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) technologies.

MSC offers professional design, systems integration, installation, calibration, and operation of essential ITS technologies, including Weigh-In-Motion (WIM), Truck Weigh Stations, and Toll System.

Truck Compliance/ Commercial Vehicle Enforcement

Truck compliance systems measure and identify all trucks, flagging only those most likely to be in violation for further inspection. This can occur at a weigh station (screening systems), or enforcement officers can use web-based software to access continually updated records of violations (virtual weigh stations).

  • Virtual Weigh Stations (VWS) are Weigh-In-Motion systems that provide vehicle records for enforcement, traffic surveillance and/or data collection in real-time over a computer network connection to a laptop, tablet, mobile device or workstation computer.
  • Remotely Controlled Weigh Stations (RCWS) are systems that allow an operator to control one or more remote weighing sites from a central station. The remote sites transmit data from sensors and network devices, including scales, cameras, license plate readers and signs. A communications link allows an operator in the central station to give instructions to the driver.
  • The Ramp Screening System will screen commercial vehicles on the entrance ramp to a weight enforcement station. Vehicles are screened and tracked as they pass over the Sorter System sensors. Vehicles that are potentially in violation of regulations and credentials will be signaled to report for inspection; vehicles that are in compliance will be signaled to bypass the station.
  • The Mainline Screening System will screen commercial vehicles on the mainline highway upstream from a weight enforcement station. Vehicles are screened and tracked as they pass over the Sorter System sensors. Vehicles that are potentially in violation of regulations and credentials will be signaled to exit to the inspection station ramp; vehicles that are in compliance will be signaled to bypass the station.
  • Preclearance (or E-screening) is an important part of a comprehensive commercial vehicle weight management program. These programs reward commercial vehicles that have a good record of compliance while helping to identify weight violations. Resources are better utilized while infrastructure is protected from damage due to excessive weight.

Toll Systems

MSC has installed toll collection and auditing systems throughout the region. Those systems are scalable and can be configured from a simple toll cash collection system to a fully integrated toll system with vehicle classification and video for audit.

  • Toll Road System: It operates in manned and man less modes and supports various payment methods including Cash, Preprinted ticket, Smart card & Electronic Toll Collection (ETC). It can be equipped with Automatic Vehicle Classification to minimize toll fraud and evasion
  • WIM@Toll system include equipment and software required for accurate and efficient toll operations integrated with Weigh-in-Motion (WIM) system. The system can be used with WIM Sensors to provide accurate data for charging toll based on vehicle weight and class.
  • Weight enforcement at toll station will use WIM sensors with added accuracy to identify overweight vehicles at the toll plaza.

Traffic Data Collection

Our Data Collection systems provide continuous, reliable, complete, and accurate traffic and weight data. MSC offers an end-to-end solution including sensors, equipment, installation, maintenance, data harvest, verification, hosting and reporting.

  • Portable or permanent
  • Real-time Volume, Occupancy and Speed (VOS)
  • VOS reporting to traffic management systems
  • Valuable high quality data
  • Data reporting with comprehensive reports
  • Information for highway pavement design and maintenance

Access Control & Security

MSC offers a variety of access control and security products that help protect facilities from hidden explosives and unauthorized entrance/egress. These products can be used as stand-alone solutions or integrated into complete access control and security systems.

MSC's Under Vehicle Surveillance Systems (UVSS), Under Vehicle Inspection Systems (UVIS), and portable inspection devices are used worldwide at entrances to hotels, consulates, embassies, police stations, and military facilities.
